ABOUT THE FORUM

The Australian Theatre Forum (ATF) is a biennial gathering of 300 – 400 representatives from the Australian theatre and wider performing arts sector. Bringing together practitioners, producers and cultural provocateurs from across the country, the ATF provides a platform for an exchange of ideas.  ATF is produced by Theatre Network Australia, with Nicole Beyer as Executive Producer.

Co-curated by Alexis West and Steve Mayhew, ATF 2017 was held from 3-5 October, 2017, at Adelaide Festival Centre.

Previous Australian Theatre Forums

The first Australian Theatre Forum (ATF) was held in Melbourne in May 2009 and was organised by the Australia Council for the Arts, largely to address key issues that the sector was facing. Since then, the ATF has come to be recognised as the main meeting place for the theatre sector. Bringing together practitioners, producers and cultural provocateurs from across the country, the Australian Theatre Forum provides a platform for an exchange of ideas.
