NEIGHBOURHOOD // IN PARTNERSHIP WITH APAM AT DREAMBIG CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL

APAM Adelaide

This event has happened. Registrations are closed.

20 MAY, THURSDAY
12.30PM – 4.30PM
Banquet Room, Adelaide Festival Centre

An immersive afternoon of feasting and guided reflection; bringing together artforms, activism and audio adventure with some of South Australia’s most inspiring artists.

NEIGHBOURHOOD is a joyful long lunch to enrich national and global connections in our creative community and to celebrate local artists. In partnership with APAM, this is the first in Theatre Network Australia’s (TNA) ‘deconstructed’ Australia Theatre Forum 2021 gatherings.

The event will bring together members of our creative community to share a meal and ask: How do we move and be moved while we’re staying still? Inspiring South Australian artists will provide guided reflections and food for thought throughout the afternoon. Bringing together artforms, activism and audio adventure, Neighbourhood will provide an opportunity to depart from the daily grind to dream of a more connected future.

Future thinking and journeys of the mind will be at the fore during a series of insightful provocations by artists throughout the afternoon. Digest the food and the insights with your neighbours at the banquet table and see what you can share from your practice and your experience with those around you. There will be a global look at the ASSITEJ sector by newly appointed President of ASSITEJ International and Polyglot Artistic Director Sue Giles and a showing of a TNA commissioned video that celebrates the Australian ASSITEJ sector.

Come to feast and dream with us and get to know your neighbours.

TNA & APAM welcome all members of our artistic community to join us for Neighbourhood. We are committed to ensuring this event is accessible to all, and as such will be providing any access needs from AUSLAN and Audio Description to providing quiet spaces and childcare.
