Deaf Access Strategy

Theatre Network Victoria worked in partnership with Arts Access Victoria to ensure that the ATF is as accessible and enjoyable to Deaf delegates as possible.

The forum had Auslan Interpreters at all keynotes, panel discussions, and a choice of breakout sessions.

Arts Access Victoria provided mentoring and support to Deaf delegates, to ensure that they can prepare for the conversations in advance, with access to written notes and documents where needed.

Sydney Festival offered one Auslan interpreted performance which ATF delegates could access discount tickets for:
Kiss and Cry
Carriageworks
2pm Saturday 24 January
Bookings for this performance are required by Friday 19 December.

There is also one show which has Open Captioning:
On the Harmful Effects of Tobacco – Concert in one act
Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House
