Co-curators
Alexis West has worked as a dancer, choreographer, performer, writer, theatre-maker and filmmaker over the past 20 years. As a Birri Gubba, Wakka Wakka and Kanak woman, Alexis is passionate about First Nation people’s voices as well as the stories of people with disability and people from diverse backgrounds. She has worked as an artistic director, writer, and facilitator for organisations including the Karrikarrinya Theatre Collective, SA Writers Centre, Spirit Festival, Our Mob, Art Gallery SA, and Adelaide Fringe. Alexis has devised and directed new works for No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability since 2008, and worked as AD, co-writer and performer for State Theatre Company SA.
Steve Mayhew began working as a freelance theatre director in the early 1990s and has had lead managerial roles at Riverland Youth Theatre, Junction Theatre and Brink Productions. He has been Creative Producer for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Special Events Program Coordinator for the 2006 Adelaide Fringe. In 2008 he guest curated the Hong Kong Fringe Club’s Australia On Stage program following his Asialink residency. Steve’s extensive work in regional South Australia includes his role as Creative Producer at Country Arts SA since 2007 – commissioning many new works for touring and festivals across the country. Steve was the Artistic Director of ‘Kumuwuki (Big Wave)’ 2012 National Regional Arts Conference and Festival. Steve has been involved in the development of new theatre based works as a director, writer, designer, composer, dramaturge and creative producer and has always tended to gravitate towards the edges where multiple art forms, communities and audiences meet, challenging norms and perspectives.

Jennifer Greer Holmes is a creative producer, communications consultant, and event documenter who works across the arts and social justice sectors.She works to share ideas, spread messages and information, and to build, entertain and challenge communities through live art, performance, festivals, events, social media and campaigns.
Executive Producers – Theatre Network Australia Team
Nicole Beyer – Executive Director
Nicole joined TNA as its founding Director in May 2009. Since that time, TNA has grown from an 18-month project to an influential, nationally significant service organisation. TNA took on the stewardship of the ATF after the 2009 Forum, with Nicole taking on the role as executive producer of the ATF for the 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 events. Nicole’s keen interest in ensuring a more diverse and inclusive performing arts sector has guided the direction of the forum over the past eight years.
Simone Schinkel – General Manager
Simone joined TNA in 2016. A creative producer and project manager with extensive experience in arts and festival management, Simone was previously the General Manager of Lorne’s 2016 Festival of Performing Arts (FOPA), and the Business Development Manager at dance-theatre company KAGE. Simone was also the Executive Producer and General Manager at KAGE where she grew the company from operating on a project basis, to become a key organisation in Australian dance.
Kieran Swann – Program Producer
Kieran joined TNA in 2017. An artist, curator, and producer, he is a core member of The Good Room, a collective who use the anonymous experiences of ordinary people to create extraordinary theatre works; and one half of McCarthy-Swann Projects, a curatorial partnership with Amy-Clare McCarthy focusing on practices of feminist, queer, and culturally diverse artists. He has worked for Performance Space 122, Portland Institute for Contemporary Arts, Danspace Project, Venice International Performance Art Week, Metro Arts, and fortyfivedownstairs.
Jamie Lewis – Communications Coordinator
Jamie joined TNA in 2017. An independent artist, Jamie creates and performs experimental and contemporary intercultural work. Jamie is also interested in alternative models in her practice, and a re-imagining of leadership, governance, and structures. She also collaborates as facilitator, dramaturg, and co-creator, and has experience in Audience Development, consulting on branding, marketing, and communications across arts organisations and small businesses.
Bethany Simons – E-news Editor
Bethany joined TNA in 2014. Her previous roles at TNA include producing TNA’s events and leading the organisation’s communications, membership, business management and marketing strategies. A writer and performer, Bethany has experience as a teaching artist, workshop facilitator, producer, arts administrator, and regularly directs drama, playwriting and industry workshops across Australia.
